 UK National Group on Homeworking

NGH is the only UK organisation working solely on homeworking issues. Part of their work involves campaigning to improve employment conditions for homeworkers and to ensure homeworking stays on the political agenda. Current campaigns include: equal employment rights for homeworkers, UK ratification of the ILO Convention on Homeworking and a Chritmas Cracker campaign, Bang out of Order. Recent successes include campaiging for the inclusion of homeworkers under minimum wage legislation.

For more information about past and current campaigns please see www.ngh.org.uk/what-we-do/campaigns

As well as campaigning for homeworkers rights within the UK, they also offer advice and support to UK homeworkers to ensure they get the rights they are entitled to. Since 2005 they have been running a casework and representation service to give advice to homeworkers about any aspect of working life and in some cases  may be able to take a case on their behalf to an Employment Tribunal.

If you are a UK homeworker:
You can access free advice and representation by ringing the NGH Information and Advice Line on 0800 174 095. The advice line is open between 10am and 12.30pm and 1pm and 3.30pm every week day. Alternitively see www.ngh.org.uk for more information on the services available.
